Nefertiti & Me

Glued to my computer screen one afternoon, I sat completely unaware in the middle of a dialogue between the sun, setting in the west, looking long distance at its reflection in the mirror of the brassy glass facade of a building east of me. However, something must have whispered in my ear as I looked up from the keyboard to find my profile included in the conversation too. “Hmmmm....” I smiled with pleasure, “I look like my own Nefertiti...” I have always admired her immediately recognizable and beautiful silhouetted profile on the pendants of women’s necklaces. We savoured each other - light, glass and silhouette and...then...just a few moments later...the earth rolled a little further from the sun and the dialogue simply evaporated.
